Get to know Shawn Dunning, Retail Manager
In 2000, when Shawn Dunning made the leap from the Midwest to beautiful Colorado, he could finally engage his inner outdoorsman to the fullest. Six years later, this watersports fan met his future wife, Heather. Among the many things Shawn and Heather have in common is their chosen field of finance, which gives them a thorough understanding of each other’s working worlds.
The couple wed in 2014 – and now, with a stepson, Lukas, in his second year at Red Rocks Community College, Shawn is nearing the empty nester lifestyle and raising a family of three Shiba Inu dogs, including Meiko, who joined the pack in May 2022. Shawn likes to fill his downtime with a variety of outdoor activities, including golf, wake surfing, jet skiing, ATVing, and riding his CBR sports bike.
Having been in the financial world for 26 years and leading teams within the branch setting and virtual channels for 14 years, Shawn says, “Leading and developing lives in my DNA.” Shawn believes that helping people reach their career goals and financial freedom leads to feeling more connected and fulfilled within the relationships employees build in their careers.
“Walking alongside my team and members has always been my career driver,” said Shawn. “The relationships, partnerships, and friendships I have built and continue to grow are why I’m passionate about brand strategy.”
