Is it easy to use? Of course! Deposit checks in a few simple steps: 
  • Login to mobile banking with your existing online banking credentials and select "deposit checks"
  • If you're a first-time user, choose "accept" after reading through the end user agreement
  • Select the account for your deposit
  • Enter the deposit amount
  • Endorse the check "For Mobile Deposit"
  • Take a picture of the front and back of the check when prompted
  • Confirm the images are correct and select "deposit check"

This means you can get checks into your account much sooner than having to work around branch hours. And with password protection, internet firewalls and the latest 128-bit encryption, you can rest assured your deposit experience is safe and secure. 


Are there limits on Remote Deposit Capture?
Yes. There is a per deposit limit of $2,000; daily limit of $5,000; and a 30 day limit of $50,000 for Remote Deposit. 


How do I use it?
Simply login to the Red Rocks Mobile Banking app with your online banking credentials, select "deposit checks" and follow the simple steps to take a picture of the front and back of your checks. If this is your first time to use the system, you will need to read through the end-user agreement and select "accept" to move forward.


Which button do I need to select on the mobile app to begin using Remote Deposit Capture?
Select "deposit checks" and click "submit."


Do I need to endorse my check?
Yes. Please endorse the back of your check in the space indicated with your signature prior to taking a picture of the check to be deposited.


How long should I keep my check?
Please keep your check for 90 days following confirmation of deposit. 


Will I receive a confirmation my check image was received?
Yes. By selecting "email me the conf #" you will receive an email with the deposit amount and confirmation number. This confirmation verifies the receipt of the check image NOT the deposit. Each check image will be reviewed by Red Rocks Credit Union prior to processing.


What if I receive an error after taking a photo of my deposit?
  • "Front of check" error means the camera detects a folded and/or torn edge on the check OR that the image is too dark.
  • "View and retake" appears when the front image is not legible. To correct, retake the photo in a well-lit area to avoid shadows, and be sure to keep hands clear of the check to avoid issues.
  • "Oops" indicates the amount of the deposit you entered is different than the amount detected on the picture of the check.
  • "Can you clearly read the following? Routing and Account numbers?" suggests the routing and/or account numbers may not be clear on the picture of the check.
  • "Phone camera needed" appears when there is no camera detected on your device. Be sure you are using an iPhone or Android device that has a camera function.
  • "Access has been denied" appears when your access has been denied by the credit union. If you receive this message, please contact Red Rocks at 303-471-7625 to speak with a representative.
