RRCU Makes Donation to Food Bank of the Rockies
As part of our ‘Grocery Giveaway’ contest that ended on June 30th, we recently donated $9.610.20, the cash value of one year’s worth of groceries, to Food Bank of the Rockies.
“The COVID-19 pandemic created additional food insecurity across our communities,” explained Brooke Christofferson, Chief Marketing Officer. “As a financial cooperative devoted to helping people, we were excited to raise awareness for the Food Bank of the Rockies while meeting the needs of our members, all at the same time. We’re so very proud and honored to help support our community in this way.”
Red Rocks is pleased to support Food Bank of the Rockies as they are still feeling the economic impacts of the pandemic and facing increased demand in our local communities. Food Bank of the Rockies is now distributing 50% more food each month than before the crisis began, which amounts to enough food to provide 250,000 meals per day.

Overall, we provided $10,979.70 in value to the winners through our grocery giveaways and a total of $20,589.90, including gift cards, grand prize drawings and donations.
