About Red Rocks Credit Union
Though Red Rocks Credit Union was originally chartered in 1979, we officially opened our doors on Valentine’s Day, 1980.
Maybe this is the reason we care so much about the relationships we build. In fact, strong relationships are the foundation of everything we do here.
Thirty-six years ago, employees of Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) pooled their money as a way to serve one another. They trusted each other and wanted to ensure their futures were strong by coming together.
Today, that same principle of serving a small, local community through a concern for one another continues to drive everything we do here. We’ve added a few principles like convenience, transparency, and simplicity, but it’s all founded in one idea: care and concern for our community.
Care & Concern
Our local member-owners control 100% of every aspect of what we do. They elect our board of directors. They govern, oversee, and direct profits into lower loan rates, higher deposit rates, and lower fees for members.
As a credit union, our ultimate accountability is to our employees, our families, and our community, not shareholders or profits. Because of this, we strive to be good stewards of your money by providing the care, responsiveness, and ease of business we’d deliver to our own family.
We believe in transparency through authentic and honest communication. Our checking accounts are called “checking.” Our savings accounts are called “savings.” It’s pragmatic and simple. The way it should be.
Innovation Comes Standard
Why do our members come to Red Rocks Credit Union? Because they don’t have to.
As stewards of our community, we’re always looking for ways to make life easier. Other financial institutions thrive by making you need them. We thrive by serving you.
Here at RRCU, online banking is standard operating procedure. We know you live a busy life. That’s why we’ve structured our business to come to you, on your time, electronically. When you close loans, you do it from the convenience of wherever you are, not where it’s most convenient for us.
We believe that the simplest solution is best. Sometimes that also means picking up the phone and talking to someone. When you have a question, you speak to a real person - with real solutions.
While these might seem like small things, we know they hold immense value. It’s the way we’d treat our own family.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what you are.
